Art Deco 1920s pendant featuring a tear drop shaped faceted yellow coloured glass stone surrounded by marcasite stones set into sterling silver. Marcasite stones are Pyrite all known as Fools Gold. It was used in jewellery due to it's ability to catch the light, giving a diamond effect. Art Deco jewellery is marked by its geometry and symmetry. Art Deco is highly graphic and stylised designs. The pendant hangs from a sterling silver chain.
